“I would give the water a voice to hum” (Water Drawings)

“I would give the water a voice to hum” (Water Drawing 6)
oil, natural pigment, Fabriano paper, movement of water, 130 x 180 cm, studio shot

The title of this series comes from a beautiful poem by Doireann Ní Ghríofa titled “Tinfoil”. The Water Drawings have been created through submerging the paper in a pool filled with cold water with oil paint floating on the surface and creating patterns with water movement.
The works have been realised thanks to the support of South Dublin County Council.
